Driveway Relics

These pieces were created from two identical copies of the Ada Evening News that were thrown on a driveway near my home November 22nd, 2007.  The papers weren’t retrieved until February 22nd, 2008. As a result of the neglect they suffered from three months of the elements and the tires of trucks, two compacted sheets of newsprint were created.  The shapes cut from them are meant to echo the very culture that could allow trash to remain untouched for 3 months.
